ADULT  FLU  CLINICS

This year our Adult flu vaccination will be on the following Saturdays at Bullock Fair:
NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED – Simply turn up at your allotted time (as indicated below).

Saturday 1st October 2016

09:00am – 10:15am for patients with surnames beginning with the letters A-B
10:15am – 11:15am for patients with surnames beginning with the letters C-D
11:15am – 12:15pm for patients with surnames beginning with the letters E-G
12:15pm – 13:30pm for patients with surnames beginning with the letters H-J

Saturday 15th October 2016

09:00am – 10:15am for patients with surnames beginning with the letters K-M
10:15am – 11:15am for patients with surnames beginning with the letters N-Q
11:15am – 12:15pm for patients with surnames beginning with the letters R-S
12:15pm – 13:30pm for patients with surnames beginning with the letters T-Z

There are also limited Monday evening flu appointments available for workers. Please contact reception for details on: 01379 853217

You qualify for an NHS flu jab if you are aged 65 or over on 31st March 2017  or:

you are pregnant or have:
a heart problem
a chest complaint or breathing difficulties, including bronchitis or emphysema
a kidney disease
lowered immunity due to disease or treatment (such as steroid medication or cancer treatment)
liver disease
had a stroke or a transient ischaemic attack (TIA)
diabetes
a neurological condition, for example multiple sclerosis (MS) or cerebral palsy
a problem with your spleen, for example sickle cell disease or you have had your spleen removed

You should also consider having the flu vaccine if you are:

the main carer of an older or disabled person
a household contact of an immunocompromised person
a health or social care worker- you should be vaccinated by your employer as part of an occupational health programme.

Children’s Flu Clinic

Parents of all children eligible for vaccination will be contacted with details of the children’s flu clinic once vaccines have been received by the practice.
